Focus Of The Project

Tudor Project's goal is to recreate garb worn from the time of Henry VIII’s birth thru Queen “Bloody” Mary, his daughter’s, death (1491 – 1558).  Those participating make outfits based, as closely as possible, on portraits painted during this time.  The exercise is not to take on their persona but to learn what they wore, how they made it, how they wore it, and how it fit into their lives and culture of their time.
