How It All Started
In early 2020 the COVID epidemic swept across the world. By March most non essential places were closed down and many companies had sent their employees to work from home. Most hobby / recreation groups had suspended their meetings and events / festivals were cancelled.
By 2023 the world was returning to the new normal and things were opening back up, groups were meeting again, and events / festivals were coming back. As FIRE came back out and started to look around to get in touch with groups and people we had worked with before, we quickly found our world had greatly changed! Some of the groups we had played with were no longer there. For those groups that had made it through, our contacts were no longer there, and there had been so much staff turnover that those now involved had not heard of us. We were going to have to build our connections again.

New Friendships and Opportunities
As we looked around to see what groups were around, one of the groups we found was Parasols and Petticoats. In the past we had done mostly Tudor fashions however, we were looking for a group that we could do Victorian / Edwardian fashions with which is the focus of that group. We attending their meetings and found them to be very welcoming and friendly. They focus on doing fashion shows at various venues. At some of those first meeting they announced they would be doing a Titanic themed show later in the year. We were very excited to have a new fashion style to look into so jumped on the chance.

Titanic Research Begins
The request was to find people connected to the Titanic, research the person, and provide a write up to be used for the announcer as we parade down the runway. Four of us initially participated and our costumes and write ups can be found on "Creations - Titanic".
